The incident happened sometime around Tuesday, Jan. 23, in Flanders, near the intersection of Pleasure Drive and CR 105.

Southampton Town Police said someone knocked over and damaged the “Welcome to Flanders” sign and stole the street sign for Pleasure Drive.

The vandalism is believed to have happened within the past few days, said police, who noted the same sign had been damaged in an incident last year.

Detectives are asking anyone with information to contact the agency at 631-702-2230 or send an email.
